How to make Kerala Paal Payasam, Rice kheer, quick and easy kheer

Kerela Paal Payasam is one of the easiest dessert for the sweet lovers. Its one of the various payasam served in onam sadhya. Mainly prepared with cow’s milk and rice. Traditionally its cooked in an open pan, stirring continuously till the milk thickens. But, as I like my recipes to be quick, I prefer using a pressure cooker. So, no need of standing for long hours in the kitchen to fulfill your sweet cravings.

Recipe Notes

Pressure cooker should be big enough so that the milk won't spill out. You can use your normal rice, no need of basmati rice. If you don't have broken rice, you can pulse the rice you have once in a mixie.
